Part of living and growing up in a place like Dhahran, Saudi Arabia is that you experience a life that most people will never know. This is probably true of any displaced micro-society. Dhahran is a place with a very unique mixture of cultures. I loved my years in Dhahran. However, what really made my experience was not the city but the people.
